This paper explores the value of labeling a language as Islamic from a linguistic standpoint. Specifically, it focuses on the impact of loanwords from other languages.

Loanwords are words borrowed from one language and incorporated into another. These words often reflect cultural and historical interactions between different groups of people. For instance, Arabic has a significant number of loanwords from Persian and Turkish. This is due to historical interactions and cultural exchanges between these language communities.

The presence of loanwords in a language does not necessarily make it Islamic. Islamic identity is primarily determined by religious beliefs and practices, not linguistic features. A language can be considered Islamic if it is used to express Islamic beliefs and practices, even if it contains loanwords from other languages.
